The exhibition On Flotte (We Float) throws a spotlight on craftsmanship and materiality, as well as images and video projections. Designed by Salvatore Arancio, it features a broad range of artistic media including textiles, ceramics, sound and video. The majority of the pieces have been specifically created with the exhibition site in mind.

The exhibition follows on from visits to local companies, situated on the banks of the river Rhône, and it highlights the coming together of industrial production methods and those of the artist’s own practice, drawing parallels between the very different environments of everyday working life and the natural world. In the exhibition, they are united by a common factor: their fragility in the face of human activities, economic imperatives and climate change.
