In order to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of Félix Vallotton’s death, the Musée Jenisch Vevey has invited living artists and students from the ECAL (University of Art and Design Lausanne) to pay tribute to this emblematic Swiss artist. In anticipation of the major retrospective to be held at the MCBA in autumn, a selection of works by Félix Vallotton from the collections of the Musée Jenisch Vevey and a private collection interact with the works of Caroline Bachmann, Mathieu Dufois, Valérie Favre, Nicolas Party, Françoise Pétrovitch, François Réau and Denis Savary, some created especially for this occasion. Oscillating between drawing, painting and sculpture, these works highlight the role played by this seminal figure in the contemporary artistic landscape.

This exhibition is part of the Vallotton Year | 2025.
