In 2026, the Museums of Marseille and ADIAF (Association for the International Diffusion of French Art) are joining forces to present the 8th edition of the Triennial “De leur temps” at the [mac]. Since 2004, this iconic event has highlighted works acquired over the past three years by collectors committed to promoting contemporary art. A true snapshot of today's artistic tastes, the Triennial reveals the sensibilities, questions, and boldness that permeate the contemporary art scene.

The exhibition La vie climatique. Histoires sensibles des collections privées (Climate Life: Sensitive Stories from Private Collections) brings together more than 130 works from over 70 French and international private collections, spanning all fields of creation: painting, video, sculpture, performance, and installation. The exhibition pays tribute to the commitment of public institutions, patrons, and collectors who, together, have contributed to the enrichment of the collections of the Museums of Marseille. By also involving private actors in the region, “De leur temps” (Of Their Time) extends this collective dynamic and promotes a wider dissemination of contemporary artistic heritage.

Accompanied by Monica Bianca and Michel Poitevin, members of ADIAF and respectively artistic director and founder of the Triennale, this new edition highlights voices from the Mediterranean basin and non-Western backgrounds, opening up new narratives for art history.
