A zombie that refuses to lie silent in the dirt, a road between Jerusalem and Jericho that an algorithm cannot navigate, a political dance that builds a resistance. Taking place across HKW’s Westgarten and the garden at silent green, transmediale out of doors brings together film, music, performance and talks that engage with the aesthetics and politics of refusal. By addressing opposition to state power, apolitical interfaces and network bias, the program explores the forces of refusal that tie to tenderness, care, joyful dissent, late nights and dirt.

With contributions by Arjuna Neuman & Denise Ferreira da Silva, Bárbara Wagner & Benjamin de Burca, Bassam Al Sabah, Cemile Sahin, Cibelle Cavalli Bastos, Diane Edwards, Dylan Kerr, Frank Sweeney, Jennifer Mehigan, Nazanin Noori, Patrick Staff, Salvatore Arancio, Tali Liberman and others out of doors is a project by transmediale e.V. at Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
