Moffat Takadiwa creates large-scale sculptures from materials found in landfills—primarily electronic waste, plastic bottle caps, toothbrushes, and toothpaste tubes. After collecting and sorting these objects by shape and color, always in vast quantities, the artist weaves these discarded materials into richly textured tapestries. Hung on walls, these post-industrial fabrics with organic forms ձեռք an aura of precious, almost totemic or ritual objects.

In light of the interest and recognition this work has received including its presentation at the Venice Biennale and to allow a wider audience more time to experience it, it has been agreed that the presentation of this work will be extended for Nuit Blanche on June 6.
