In 2025, a major Cezanniene retrospective will take over the city of Aix-en-Provence. This year will celebrate a great reunion between the city and its most illustrious inhabitant. With an exceptional exhibition of over 130 iconic works from all over the world, the Musée Granet is paying tribute to the man, the artist and his work.

In response to this major event, Gallifet is presenting ‘Echos de Cezanne’, an exhibition celebrating the influence on the artists of our time of the man whom Picasso called ‘the father of us all’.

Whether they are well-known or emerging, French or from further afield, sculptors, photographers or painters, there are many who claim a Cezannian lineage. There are also many who have not sought it out. Yet the imprint is there, visible and legible in the themes central to his work, which this exhibition will explore.

Some of the artists whose work echoes that of the Aix master are household names, but our work does not stop there. We are also calling on the young curator and gallery owner Pierre Allizan to include in our curation a selection of artists from a new generation, who in turn are also imbued with Cezannian memory.
