Founded in 1995, the Issy Biennale celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025 and has established itself as an unmissable event on the contemporary art scene. Each edition brings together around sixty emerging artists—sculptors, painters, photographers, video artists, and more—alongside established artists active in France and internationally.

The Restless Water: An Inspiring and Timely Theme
The Issy Biennale is distinctive in that it is built around a theme, which for this edition is The Restless Water. A symbol of life, a moving force, a mirror of our societies, water is a field of both poetic and political exploration. Each artist takes hold of this unstable matter and reveals its tensions, mysteries, and contradictions.
